In 2019, starting with Lloyd Phillips & Associates Ltd, the Bayshore Station Towers project began and is continuing with Q9 Planning following the closure of LPA.
The Site
The subject site, municipally identified as 100 Bayshore Drive, is situated to the west of the existing Bayshore Shopping Centre, north of Highway 417 and the Bayshore Transit Station. The subject site is ideally located to capitalize on the existing and future infrastructure of the transit network.
The Context
The site context is depicted below, noting that the proposal would abut the future Bayshore LRT station with a direct pedestrian link. The subject site would also be located next to the Bayshore Shopping Centre, in proximity to other medium and high-rise residential buildings, as well as Accora Village. Accora Village is a low-rise, medium density, ground-oriented residential development.
The Proposal
The proposal is for a two-tower development with a shared podium. The towers are to be 27 and 30 storeys respectively. Proposed parking is minimal given the adjacency of the Bayshore Transit Station.
Ivanhoe Cambridge and KingSett Capital are planning to seek LEED certification for the proposed building and will incorporate as many green building initiatives as possible.
