Lofty Riverside

On the east side of Bank Street between Riverside Drive eastbound and westbound, Lofty Riverside Developments is proposing a high-rise mixed-use development of 26 storeys of which 6 storeys will represent the podium base.


The proposed development requires an Official Plan Amendment (OPA) and a Zoning Amendment (ZBA) to permit the proposed height, which is currently limited to 16 storeys.


The purpose of the height increase is not to increase density, it is designed to reorient the permitted density into a smaller footprint tower as opposed to two 16-storey buildings on the two combined properties of 1335 and 1339 Bank Street that make up the subject site.


This project has already attended an informal Urban Design Review with the City of Ottawa and a Public Meeting is currently being organized with the Councillor's office.


The OPA and ZBA applications have been digitally submitted and materials are expected to be publicly available on the City's website in a couple of weeks.
